My name is Bruce Nigel, and GoGetter Sri Lanka did not begin in a boardroom.

It began with frustration, survival, and the belief that ordinary people in Sri Lanka deserve better access to opportunity.

For a long time, I have felt that too many profitable spaces in Sri Lanka are controlled by large corporations, closed networks, or systems where one business survives by undercutting another. Too often, the people who could change the system do not want to change it, because the flaws work in their favour.

I learned this the hard way.

When my own business was badly affected by the serious Ditwa flood, I was brought down to my knees. I received no meaningful assistance, no safety net, and no easy path back. I saw how quickly a small business can collapse when disaster strikes, and how difficult it is to recover when the system is not built to protect people like us.

That experience changed me. I began looking around and seeing the same struggle everywhere.

I saw drivers and riders working hard while platforms took heavy commissions. I saw vendors forced to raise prices just to survive on delivery apps. I saw food being delivered at a higher cost, while quality and quantity often dropped. I saw people protesting outside the doors of transport giants that depend on their labour.

I saw home industries, food makers, manufacturers, small shops, service providers and skilled individuals trying to get noticed, only to be pushed aside by someone with more money, more reach, or a better edge — even when the quality was not better.

I saw employers struggling to find skilled and professional people. I saw skilled people wasting years in places that limited their growth. I saw students and parents carrying the cost of expensive tuition, transport and safety concerns. I saw schools that could become smarter with the right tools, even with something as simple as a smart board connected to the right learning platform.

Everyone knows success is out there. But too many people do not know how to reach it before their dreams start falling apart.

GoGetter is being built for entrepreneurs, small businesses, vendors, drivers, riders, skilled professionals, home industries, students, schools, employers and enterprises that need a fairer way to be seen, booked, paid, transported, delivered, trained, hired and discovered.

This is why GoGetter is not one single app. It is a connected network of practical tools for Sri Lanka. Transport supports delivery, ecommerce, sports bookings and business movement. Ecommerce creates delivery and transport demand. Education creates trainees, apprentices and skilled workers. Jobs & Handymen connects employers, workers and customers. Websites help people become visible. Business tools help them manage and grow. Future Rewards will encourage people to use, share and build the network together.

I do not need to make huge margins. That is not the model. GoGetter is built on volume, participation and usefulness. The goal is not to take as much as possible from a few people. The goal is to help more people take part.

Spend some time looking at what I have built here, and you will get a glimpse into my imagination. There are sports and activities many people never knew existed. There are small businesses that deserve websites. There are food vendors who deserve their own cyber stores. There are skilled workers who deserve to be found. There are students who deserve safer, smarter learning. There are businesses that need accounting tools, payment gateways, transport, bookings and delivery without being crushed by commissions.

GoGetter will not become known everywhere overnight. If you believe in what we are building, stay with us, use us, share us, and help us grow until this island network reaches the people it was built for.

I hope that one day GoGetter will grow beyond Sri Lanka and become an international network — but its roots will always remain here, in the island that inspired it.
